As a pharmacist trained in geriatrics, Rep Chew, made sure the importance of investing in our seniors now to accommodate the growing senior population that will be overwhelming if kicked down the road til later, was understood in the narrow passing of 39 to 30 passing of HB687 and then applauded Governor Little when he took the unusual move of signing the bill into law at the Mountain Home Senior Center on 3/21/22. This Appropriation for Idaho Commission on Aging cobbled federal and state funds for a training specialist, and $720,000 in state revenues to support caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's and related dementia.
